nice work ahmed!
I just installed it here – would be nice if there was an alignment option that could put it above or below my Facebook share button aligned on the right…

I’d probably rename your classes from generic names like “Main” and “Layout”, as these can easily collide with the names of other classes (eg, my blog already has a “Layout” class so the plugin would not be able to load correctly). Maybe something like TwitterMain?

Cool plugin, Ahmed. The problems I’m having are:
1. If I de-select “Home,” then the button doesn’t show up on my individual posts, even though I keep that option selected.
2. When I keep “home” and “posts” selected, the shortcut when you click on the tweet button is for my home page, not individual posts, which is what I would think they should be.
Is there something I’m doing wrong?

PS – I love your “share” buttons, particularly the “share the love” text/icon. How can I do that for my own blog? Tips much appreciated!

Hey, I got a weird problem… the settings on the tweet button keeps reseting at what seems to be random times… any idea why?

This is great!
Is it possible to use the bitly API for custom short URLs?

Hi Ahmed,
I hope you can help me with a problem…
I need to have a twiiter button and a facebook button on each post in my blog, but I need only one count with the total number of both….something similar to this:
http://tutorialzine.com/2010/05/showing-facebook-twitter-rss-stats-jquery-yql/
and I need this working in my wordpress blog in every post, so people can like or twitter each post and I will have a total number of clicks in both social media for each post….
I really appreciate your help.
thank you very much

Thanks for the great plugin. I would like to customize the tweet message but I don’t know what parameters to use. I tried %blog_title% and it did not worked. What variables I should use to display only the blog title?

Just as another guy commented here, I have a problem that the settings on the tweet button keeps reseting at what seems to be random times…

Hey I was running your plugin, everything was going great, then today all my posts stop displaying. looks like its something in the plugin that kills the posts content. I havent debugged it too much, but you might wanna look at catching and dying out without breaking the page.

Great plugins, well done and thank you.
However, I’m also getting the situation where the Twitter button disappears and the plugin settings have reset themselves. When I check my options again and save the button returns. Might this have anything to do with the fact I’m also using your Facebook Like button, and as one other person said perhaps you’re using the same name for the classes on both? Any ideas?

When I leave a comment on any of my posts I get the following error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /wp-content/plugins/twitter-tweet-button/inc/main_class.php:54) in /wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 890[Reply]

Great plugin, Ahmed!
I’m getting the same error as Lee :
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /wp-content/plugins/twitter-tweet-button/inc/main_class.php:54) ...I’m not a programmer but after searching for answers on various forums it seems like in your file “main_class.php” there are extra blank lines that are causing this error, probably?
Something in that or another of the plugin’s files is causing this error, of this I am almost certain.
It’s not a fatal error but I bet it is also the reason Tweet Button resets itself regularly, especially if I configure another plugin on my site.
Cheers

This plugin is giving an error when you go over your tags and try to edit and save one of them. Actually the tag update could be saved, but it shows this error message on blank screen:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/melos/public_html/wp-content/plugins/twitter-tweet-button/inc/main_class.php:54) in /home/melos/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 890

Hi! I’m using your “Twitter Tweet Button” Ver 1.1 with WordPress 3.0.1 and I have the following problem: In my Feedburner-Newsletters (http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=ForumFuschl&loc=de_DE) there also appears a text called “Tweet” with the link to “www.twitter.com/share” (with isn’t correct, Twitter tells me that a valid URL parameter is required), although I didn’t tell the plugin to be displayed within the Feedburner-Mail! In comparison: Your plugin “Facebook Like” Ver 5.6. doesn’t appear within Feedburner (with is correct!). Could you please help me in this matter? Thanks!

This is a great plugin, but I need the ability to disable the twitter button on a per-post basis (like you have with your excellent facebook plugin). Are there any plans to add this functionality?

I’am getting this error
‘url’ parameter does not contain a valid URL
when I try to tweet a page
[Reply]
I have fixed my previous problem.
I have also added an id=”twitter-button” to the main div for the button so i can move it where I want via CSS.
think that should be a very useful addition you should add for your next update

Great plugin! Question – I want to know how change the format of the Tweet content. I want to be able to remove the blog title and add my Twitter handle in its place. Your help would be appreciated.

Hey Thanks for the plugin,
just two little problems:
1. when I put the twitter button in home, it will twitt the home address and not the post it is on….
2. I wish there was a way to assign a class id to it to be able to control positioning via css.
Thanks a lot
D.
