yes of course there’s two functions:
For normal button

Hi Ahmed,
As a part of Facebook privacy they don’t give you information about the people who liked the post, but you can know who’s from you friend has liked the post.

I love your code. However, when ever someone “likes” my post. Their news feed does not show the title of the post. It only shows the name of my website.

Hi Bryan,
Sorry for being late. The problem is in your template, it doesn’t show the title of the post, take a look on the title tag on your website:
cache SF |it’s just your website name, try to edit you template and it will work just fine

I’ve added your plugin to my blog and i have enabled XFBML but for some reason it keeps showing an iframe and i cant get it to be dynamic.
What should i do?

Hey Ahmed, totally digging this latest version. But I’ve just come across a little problem.
When i use iFrame the height value works fine, but when i use XFBML it just uses the default value (40px). So just wondering if there might be a way to fix this?

Hey Ahmed, thank you for your great work with that plugin. I have a question regarding my wordpress website using fb like v.4.2, if it’s possible from ver. 4.0 of till today to dismiss the images of the posts when I insert links into my FB profile
with other words, the images of the posts are missing when I am tring to import them /posts/ into fb

Okay i’ll consider this as missing feature, cuz if you didn’t add the default image url facebook won’t find any images in your website…
Will fix this thing in the next update
@Ahmed: Please excuse me for my poor English, I guess you didn’t understand me
I am trying to add link/url into facebook wall via Copy/Paste. I am copying the url from my website and then paste it into the wall using “Attach” ~> “Link” and then the content of the web site is shown but the images aren’t
You may try using my WP website just copy/paste one post’s address and then try to add it into your wall
I guess that I’ve explained it correctly now

does it work with BuddyPress installed on WordPress (not MU)?
It seems so but when it shares the story on my facebook profile it does it with the standard buddypress avatar…
Is it the dafault image?

I am trying to add the insights on facebook but I keep getting Bad request – No Admin data found.

You’re using wrong admin id, checkout the video in this post and follow my steps
It’s a small world. I am a Canadian expat living in Bahrain. I asked someone in Vancouver, Tris Hussey, what he would suggest for the Like button and he pointed me to your site.

impossible, since the beginning, to update the plugin correctly directly by the plugin admin page …
and … now, it’s impossible to “like” … it returns “error” once clicked.

Thank you for great work! I seem to have a problem with the plugin. It worked beautifully (the previous version), then it started giving me the error: “The page at [my blog post URL] could not be reached.” – across all posts. So I uninstalled the old version and installed the new one, and not only the problem didn’t go away, but also the button that used to show by default on each post went away and I have to manually code in the button in each and every post. Is there a way to keep the button to show by default, in an easy way? I am not a programmer, I think there was an option in your plugin settings before and I don’t see it anymore. Thank you!

Okay, I am having a problem in that this app is not posting to my wall/recent activity. It should shouldn’t it?
I click like and my name pops up beside the button, but when I check my wall or recent activity it does not show up there.

Okay I think it may be that I have the wrong AppID, but i cannot for the life of me find where it is. any help?

Check the video tutorial… It will show you how to get the App ID.
I am having same problem like you.. Some of my post did not show in recently activity when I LIKED them and some worked perfectly…
okay guys, I must be a bit slow… I can’t seem to figure out the AppID nor the admin ID for this thing… has me scratching my head and cursing! I have followed the video through 4 times, each time getting the same info as the time before and still no luck.

Okay so maybe I was doing something wrong in trying to copy the AppID from above… so clicked on the link and tried to create an application and it simply tells me I have the wrong URL… what URL should I put, I have no idea?!? I have tried several of my websites, several of my facebook pages, several general sites and it rejects all of them…
Anyone got any ideas behind this? Why will not accept my URL… oh and yes I have tried with prefixes: http:// , http://www , www, and nothing at all…

I have some “likes” but don’t see them in my Insight. My stats are still 0 likes. I followed the tutorial and don’t get any other (visible) errors.
Is there a way to specify something other than the page title for what gets posted to Facebook? Right now my page title is different from my blog post title. For example, if my blog post is titled “title” then my page title is “title | blogname” and so what shows up on facebook is “bill likes title | blogname on blogname” — and what I’d prefer is “bill likes title on blogname”

Would be nice to have a dynamic system for the images, when a single default is not always appropriate. Ex: my site is a photo blog, so I would like the first image in every blog post to be what shows up in the news feeds with the link, etc.

Dude, it’s so nice of you to spend your time FOR FREE to give this to us. Thank you! I have a simple goofy question. How can I put a or otherwise put a blank line ABOVE the Like button at the top of a post. It is being dropped in directly after “posted by admin” or equivalent and looks kinda ugly. Would appreciate help from anyone.

You can show it in the index by checking the Show in Home option

is it possible to have the default og image be the url for post thumbnail/feature imaged?
does anybody have any idea why it doesnt seem to pop up to let people share it on their facebook when the click like? clicking like works, but the bit where the person can choose to post it to their news feed doesnt seem to appear….?

My ‘like’ plugin is not showng total ‘likes’ instead it says ‘error’. when I click on it it, I get message saying This page has been disabled due to abuse reports. What does that mean. No facebook page has been disabled. What is going on.
I use this button on my blog posts and the og:image changes with each post with meta data generated in a custom field. Can you add a check box to turn off the og:image data generated by the plugin?
